Creator of Melody Bear and Melody Movement Early Learning

Jill Bridger started the school in 1988 in Cambridge and has seen it grow from 30 children at the Cambridge Drama Centre to over 650 students.

Jill is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and National Association of Teachers of Dance.

Her creation, Melody Bear, is now taught and enjoyed by 450 teachers across the UK and oversea.  Visit www.melodymovement.com for further details.



Due to the demand for our Melody Movement pre-school dance classes, we are looking for high quality, enthusiastic and inspirational people to join our team and teach new Melody Movement classes scheduled to open in the Cambridgeshire area.  Full training will be provided through our Melody Movement training programme. Rosie Carrick

Bernadette Lemon is heading back to her roots!  Bernadette was a student at Jill Bridger school of dance from the early age of 3 right up to 16 when she moved onto vocational training at Masters Performing Arts College.  In addition to teaching our Melody Bear classes, Bernadette teaches our RAD grades, Ballet Extra and Vocational Focus Sessions. She also choreographsthe school’s TEAM JB routines.

Emma Louise Campbell has a wealth of experience to share having gained at BA (hons) Dance and Professional Practice and a Postgraduate Masters in Dance Making and Performance.  In addition to teaching Melody Bear and our RAD ballet classes, Emma Louise teaches our Combo and modern & tap classes.

Meaghan Gates first came to the school with her two boys joining in our Melody Bear classes.  She loved the classes so much that she joined our teacher training programme and now teaches classes at the Melody Bear HQ and in Cambourne. Meaghan is also a whiz at sorting out all the props for the teachers!

Grace Atyes will be a familiar face to many of you as she is an ex-student at our school successfully gaining her RAD Intermediate ballet and ISTD modern exams.  Grace received a triple distinction in her betc level 3 in performing arts whilst training at Stage Right.  She is currently completing her ISTD teacher training.  Grace teaches and our Melody Bear classes in Cambourne classes and ballet classes at the Melody Bear HQ, St Ives.

Emily Pullen is brings the magic of Melody Bear to our Saturday morning classes at the Melody Bear HQ.  She’s first in the HQ to shake Melody Bear awake for a morning of fun dancing!

Glenn Nairn is Jill’s assistant and our school administrator Glenn has been with the team for many years and her knowledge of the office workings keep all the ‘cogs’ moving.  Glenn is students’ parents point of contact at our busy Melody Bear offices.

Rachel Bye brings a wealth of experience in dance and drama to our Saturday Melody Bear classes at the Cambourne Church Annexe.  Rachel is a familiar face in the Cambridge dance world and following her training at local dance schools went on to study ISTD ballet, tap & modern, American Tap, Contemporary and LAMDA Drama and singing at the Performers College
