Departments:

Foundation Department

Melody Movement - Little Bear Feet                   - 18 months - 24 months -parent/carer participate with the child
Melody Movement Level 1A                               - ages 2 to 2½  - parent/carer participate with the child
Melody Movement Level 1B                               - ages 2½ to 3 - parent/carer stay in the studio & watch
Melody Movement Level 2                                 - ages 3 to 4 - parent/carer waits outside the dance studio
Tip Tap Toe with Melody Bear                            - ages 3 to 5 - parent/carer waits outside the dance studio
First Ballet with Melody Bear                             - ages 4 to 5 - parent/carer waits outside the dance studio
Foundation Pre-Primary Ballet                           - ages 5 to 6 -  parent/carer waits outside the dance studio
This class leads into the option of the RAD pre-primary ballet exam (optional).  

All children attending Foundation Pre-Primary will receive the Melody Movement Foundation Certificate at the end of the appropriate term before moving up into Junior Ballet.   Parents are invited to attend the ‘Melody Movement Graduation Class’ to watch the certificate presentation.
            
Junior Department

Parent/carer waits outside the dance studio for all Junior and Senior classes.
Junior Ballet - children who have completed First Ballet with Melody Bear and the Melody Movement
                    Foundation certificate or have taken the RAD pre-primary exam (exam optional).
                    For ages 6+ and leads into the RAD Primary exam work (exam optional)
Grade 1       - children who have taken the primary exam or are age 7+
Grade 2       - children who have taken the Grade 1 exam or are age 9+
Grade 3       - children who have taken the Grade 2 exam or are age 11+

Grades Jazz and tap - students who have taken the relevant grade or covered the work in class
 
Senior Department

Grades 4 to 8 - students who have taken the relevant grade, or covered the work in the class
Technique Ballet - for grade 4 (term taking grade 4 exam) & grade 5 upwards
Pointe ballet - students are advised when they are ready to join this class

NB exams are optional.

Team JB

Team of junior and senior girls preparing groups for festivals, competitions and additional show work.  Participation by invitation.
