Karen Dear is our class co-coordinator and  Melody Bear Teacher.   Parents will see Karen regularly at our dance venues as studio assistant and receptionist.   She also works at the Melody Bear HQ as an advisor to Melody Movement Early Learning teachers and office assistant. Look out for Karen in her Melody Bear van!

Jill Bridger started the school in 1988 in Cambridge and has seen it grow from 30 children at the Cambridge Drama Centre to over 600 students.

Jill is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and National Association of Teachers of Dance.

Her creation, Melody Bear, is now taught and enjoyed by 450 teachers across the UK and oversea.  Visit www.melodymovement.com for further details.

Stephanie Holden  teaches our ISTD modern and tap grades. Stephanie’s classes also include opportunities for students to do a variety of dance styles including jazz, Hip Hop, as well as  limbering and  body conditioning sessions.   Stephanie is involved in  choreographing new TEAM JB routines.

Stephanie also teachers our popular Musical Theatre class on Saturdays.  An hour’s session of singing, acting and dancing.

Saturday Receptionists: Nicola Evans-Bailey and Michelle Roberts

Helen Ellis joined our team in 2011 and is a trained Melody Movement teacher.  Helen is part of our exciting new project, taking Melody Movement classes to local nursery schools in addition to teaching classes here at our school.   Helen is also a singing teachers and joins Stephanie to teach singing at our Musical Theatre classes.

Judith Purton is the School Secretary and Administrator and is kept very busy organising the school database, festival and exam timetables, invoice system, show details and circulars.

Glenn Nairn is the Melody Bear HQ Accounts administrator. Glenn is currently on maternity leave and we are delighted to announce the birth of her son Jack Osbert Hicks, born on 1 September 2012.
