Student Helpers
and
MMEL Associate training
Our senior students helping in our Melody Bear classes have the opportunity to complete the MMEL Student Assistant Development Programme (SADP).
This is a training programme and award scheme designed to guide, support and recognise senior students who help in Melody Movement Early Learning dance classes. In addition to teaching students the principles of class assisting, it develops students’ generic skills such as leadership, organisation, planning and communications. There are three stages within the SADP with students’ skills progressing through each stage. The recommended minimum ages are listed below. There is no upper age limit.
Stage 1: Bronze Award -
Stage 2: Silver Award -
Stage 3: Gold Award -
Each stage includes three units; tutorials, practical sessions and tasks. Students complete each stage before progressing to the next.
The school also offer the MMEL Associate training programme to student teachers.
