Departments:

Foundation Department

Little Bear Feet with Melody Bear      - 18 months - 24 months -parent/carer participate
Melody Movement Level 1a               - ages 2 to 2½  - parent/carer participate
Melody Movement Level 1b               - ages 2½ to 3+ and starting school in Sept 2013 - parent/carer stay in the studio
Melody Movement Level 2                 - ages 3 to 4 and starting school in Sept 2012
Tip Tap Toe with Melody Bear           - ages 3 to 5
First Ballet with Melody Bear            - Reception age
Foundation Ballet with Melody Bear   - School Year 1 culminating in the Foundation Ballet (or Modern & Tap)
Foundation Tap and Modern                Graduation Ceremony at the end of the Spring Term and children progress
                                                       to Junior Ballet in the Summer Term.  There is also the opportunity to
                                                        enter the RAD pre-primary ballet exam.  The tap and modern classes
                                                       progress to the ISTD grade work following Graduation

Junior Department

Junior Ballet - children who have graduated from Foundation Ballet with Melody Bear or have taken the
                     RAD pre-primary exam (exam optional).   Class prepares for the RAD Primary exam work
Grade 1       - children who have taken the primary exam or are age 7+
Grade 2       - children who have taken the Grade 1 exam or are age 9+
Grade 3       - children who have taken the Grade 2 exam or are age 11+

Grades 1 to 3 Modern and Tap - students who have taken the relevant grade or covered the work in class

Musical Theatre - NEW - for school years 1 to 6
 
Senior Department

Grades 4 to 8 - students who have taken the relevant grade, or covered the work in the class
Intermediate Foundation - for grade 4 (term taking grade 4 exam) & grade 5 upwards
Pointe and Ballet Body Foundation - students are advised when they are ready to join this class

NB exams are optional.

Team JB

Team of junior and senior girls preparing groups for festivals, competitions and additional show work. Participation by invitation.

Please note: Parents wait outside the dance studio for all classes from Melody Movement Level 2 upwards. Parents are invited to watch the last class of term or ‘special Melody Movement and Junior Ballet award days’ including the First Ballet Progress Presentation class and Foundation Ballet Graduation Ceremony.
